Chef Jason J

Chef Jason Johnson was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he graduated from Beechcroft High School. He made his way to Kentucky State University in Frankfort, KY to pursue a degree in Biology. Shortly after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chef Jason found himself struggling with his passion of food and the sciences. Therefore, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a chef and enrolled in Sullivan University’s Culinary Arts program. Upon completion, Chef Jason has become fully licensed and insured with a ServSafe Certificate (Certified Safe Food Handler) and a certified Chef with a degree in Culinary Arts from Sullivan University in Lexington, KY. He is also a member of the Americian Culinary Federation (ACF) Some of Chef Jason’s experiences include: Banquet Cook/Server for Holiday Inn; Line Cook for Andover Country Club; various catering events for Bluegrass Catering; Sous Chef for Nutrition Services at The Ohio State University Medical Center; Executive Chef for South Side Roots Café; Chef In Schools iniative; and many more. Chef Jason is also passionate about community & giving back. He has given his talents for various local community organizations & events such as Homeless Families Foundation, Taste for FACE, Urban Farms, and several other events. Chef Jason is a passionate culinary professional whose desire is not only to provide quality & fresh food, but to create lasting & memorable experiences
